As a consortium, Caafimaad Plus works closely with the Somalia Federal Ministry of Health and the Ministries of Health in Banadir state, Galmudug state, Hirshabelle State, Jubaland State, and Southwest state to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in Somalia. Our focus is on implementing health, nutrition, and complementary water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) activities in districts across the country, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.
Through our partnerships with local and national authorities, we are able to ensure that our interventions are aligned with national health policies and strategies and that they complement existing health systems. Our activities include providing essential health services, such as maternal and child health care, immunizations, nutrition services, and disease prevention and control. We also prioritize the provision of safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services to improve overall health and hygiene practices.
Our interventions are implemented in districts across Banadir and other hard-to-reach areas in Somalia, where access to basic services is limited. By working closely with local communities and authorities, we are able to ensure that our interventions are tailored to the specific needs of each community. We remain committed to improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations in Somalia, and to working in partnership with local and national authorities to achieve this goal.
